Turkish stars turn out in force for autism (extract)

 ISTANBUL, Turkey: Thirty famous and successful Turkish personalities - including Güler Sabanci, Hülya Avsar, Caroline Koç, Ümit Boyner, Mehmet Güleryüz and Kerem Görsev - attended an ebru (traditional Turkish marbling) workshop held for the benefit of the Turkish Autism Early Diagnosis and Education Foundation (TOHUM).
        TOHUM's Chairperson, Mine Narin, said that an Italian ebru artist, Danilo Giannoni, held the workshop as part of the "Seeds Need Water" project and added that nearly 40 items - including canvases, bags, accessories and T-shirts - would be auctioned for the benefit of autistic children on April 28. All proceeds from the auction will be used in TOHUM foundation projects …
